Rohit Sharma spends time with Shubman as Team India undergoes practice session in Pune | CWC2023

Xtra Time Web Desk: The Indian cricket team is on a role having won all their first three matches in the ongoing ICC Cricket World Cup 2023. Rohit and his boys will next face Bangladesh in MCA stadium in Pune on Thursday. October 19 with an aim to make it four wins in a row.

The Men in Blue practiced under the flood lights that went on for almost three and half hours with all the batters and bowlers getting an extended session in the nets. The practice session began with Indian captain Rohit Sharma and head coach Rahul Dravid heading straight towards the middle to have a look at the wicket. Both were seen engaged in a discussion on the 22 yards.

Star India batter Virat Kohli, captain Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill were the first to bat in the nets. Virat was in an aggressive frame of mind while taking throwdowns from Dayanand and Raghu. Gill and Rohit Sharma walked into the other nets, with the 24-year old receiving throwdowns from batting coach Vikram Rathour and Nuwan. Ravichandran Ashwin also bowled at Gill in the nets.

Rohit Sharma was seen facing the likes of Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj. Ravichandran Ashwin and Kuldeep Yadav too bowled at the Indian captain.  Immediately after they finished batting, Rohit was seen having a discussion with Shubman that went on for almost 15 minutes. Both were seen working on some technical issues.

Ishan Kishan was seen walking into bat in the nets along with Shreyas Iyer. KL Rahul preferred doing some strength training with conditioning coach Rajnikanth.

With both Kuldeep Yadav and Ravindra Jadeja doing well, the team management might not tinker much with the bowling attack. It will mean Jasprit Bumrah will share the new ball with Mohammed Siraj. Hardik Pandya, who was seen

rolling his arms in the nets at Shubman Gill will be the third specialist seamer. Mohammed Shami is likely to warm the benches for another game along with Suryakumar Yadav.

The only debate will be whether to include Ravichandran Ashwin ahead of Shardul Tahkur, considering Bangladesh have three left handers in the top order with the likes of Tanzid Hasan, Najmul Hossain Shanto, and Shakib Al Hasan.

The Indians will have an optional training session on Wednesday before they take on Shakib al Hasan and his boys. Can Rohit Sharma and his boys avenge the loss against the Tigers in Asia Cup, fans will have to wait till Thursday night.
