Internet Desk: Recovering from knee injury Parupalli Kashyap is about to return to Badminton world. However, for time being he will start his coaching at Bangalore shifting from the Hyderabad camp of Pullela Gopichand.

“I wanted to train with Deckline Leitao at Bangalore and that was the main reason of coming here. I will go back to Hyderabad after a few tournaments next month”, said Kashyap.

The 2014 Commonwealth Games Gold winner was out of the court for the last few months following injury on his right leg. To repair the medial collateral ligament in his right leg he missed the Rio 2016. Prior to this Kashyap missed Malaysia Super Series Premier and Singapore Open and has not played since then.

“I had injured my medial collateral ligament in right leg and had to go under the knife. What followed was a long rehabilitation process. I wanted a change in atmosphere, so I decided to shift to Bangalore for some time,” said Kashyap.

When asked how did Gopichand take the news, he said, “He didn’t say much, but I’m sure he understands that I’m a senior player. He definitely didn’t take it badly as he understood my situation.”
