Xtra Time Web Desk : Out of favour Team India wicket-keeper-batter Wriddhiman Saha opened up to the Media on Saturday after he was dropped from the squad for the upcoming 2 match Test series against Sri Lanka.

Indirectly blaming BCCI President Sourav Ganguly in an interview, Wriddhi said, “I was assured by Dada, with regard to my place in the Test side. I don’t know, what has gone wrong after the South Africa tour. I played well in the absence of Rishabh Pant, during the Kanpur Test against New Zealand and scored 61 runs,”

“I was told by Rahul Dravid previously about the decision to not consider me for Tests anymore. To be honest I was shocked, especially after I got the assurance from Dada,” added the 37 year old.

Apart from Wriddhiman Saha, senior cricketers in Ajinkya Rahane, Cheteshwar Pujara and Ishant Sharma were axed too from the Test squad and were informed beforehand about the Board’s decision.
