Xtra Time Web Desk : BCCI on Saturday announced Team India's squad for upcoming home Test series against Sri Lanka, which consists of familiar faces except for one, Saurabh Kumar.

The left arm spinner from Uttar Pradesh, who is considered as a bowling all rounder was brought into the Test arena as a fresh face on Saturday.

The 27 year old has been doing well in the domestic circuit for quite a few years now, with a bowling average of 23.44, picking up a total of 192 wickets including 16 five wicket hauls to his name in the 44 first class matches he has played so far.

Also, the left arm spinner has a decent batting average of just under 30 to with two first class centuries under his belt.

Apart from his first class experience, Saurabh has also played in the IPL previously for Rising Pune Supergiants in 2017, where he played under the captaincy of MS Dhoni.

The Uttar Pradesh cricketer was too picked at this year's Indian Premier League mega auction by Punjab Kings franchise.
