Internet Desk: The expectations were sky-kissing as his team won six out of their last six games which they played. The East Bengal boss Trevor Morgan also said before the game that his intention was to get three points from every game. But after a frustrating draw against the arch rivals, Morgan confessed, “It was disappointing from our part as the things we worked on Friday, we couldn’t reflect in the game. We had good chances in the second half.  We showed some good tactical play and had chances to go forward. We got that extra person to go forward as well”.

The East Bengal gaffer Trevor Morgan felt that neither team wanted to go all out and grab the three points on offer as the game progressed. He percepted that the safety approach embraced by both the teams is the reason for the goalless draw.

“After a certain point in time, I believe that both teams subconsciously did not want to lose,” he added. “We were a little bit off in the first half, in the second half we were much better. But, we can do better than this as well,” he added.

The Red and Gold coach explained, “The repetition of the line-up is not a concern. The players are trying hard. We do realize we have to keep their fitness levels up. As long as we make sure they are training well, that won’t be a problem,” he commented.

“They might be rusty but that wouldn’t be a big problem. The first eleven has picked itself so I can’t change much around.,” he weighed in.

Trevor Morgan confirmed that East Bengal are aiming for nothing less than three points in their upcoming away fixture in the league.  “We are looking forward to the away games because those are another three points,” concluded Morgan.

Morgan then went on to highlight the positives from the game. “It was a tough game and we came through with a clean-sheet. We are still at our position and we are still unbeaten. We’ve only conceded three goals in the season. It is not one lucky point, not at all. Considering the efforts, it’s a hard earned one point,” he said.

The British coach also stated that his foreign players Willis Plaza, Wedson Anselme and Ivan Bukenya came out with good performances in the Kolkata derby.
