Kolkata: Injury concerns for the Kolkata giants. Just the moment when everybody thought that the international break would help the injured players to get fit by the time the I-League resumes, East Bengal’s Wedson Anselme and Mohun Bagan’s Pronay Halder have certainly raised concerns for the respective coaches.

East Bengal’s Wedson Anselme had a Grade II groin injury during the Bengaluru FC game at Sree Kanteerava Stadium at Bengaluru a month back. Since then, he hardly managed to train with the ball. In the last couple of days he started his rehabilitation under the physical trainer Varun Ghosh. Today, the moment he resumed his training with the ball, he once again got injured at the similar position. Though East Bengal’s next game will be on 9th April, Wedson still has the recovery time to get fit before the Kolkata derby. But Pronay Halder’s injury is still a huge concern for the Bagan camp. The defensive midfielder is still in the rehabilitation and yet to resume training with the ball. In an interaction with www.xtratime.in , Pronay said that he is still unsure about his availability on the 1st April against Bengaluru FC and still has 50-50 chance of playing the game.

It is to see how quickly the two star players get back their usual fitness back. The fans and the team management too are keeping their eyes on their speedy recovery.
