Internet Desk : Indian pace star Ishant Sharma will miss The first Test against the mighty kiwis in Kanpur, Starting on 22nd September, as he is still recovering from Chikungunya.

During a press conference ahead of the Test series India’s head coach stated the media that they haven’t called any replacement in place of Ishant yet. Ishant has always been the first choice of the team , as he had played 72 tests for his nation. He took eight wickets with an average of 32.12 in the recently ended four-match Test series against the West Indians.

In Ishant Sharma’s absence India would only get the services of Umesh Yadav, Bhuvneshwar  kumar and Mohammed Shami.

Regarding the New Zealand side their coach Mike Hesson stated the media on Monday that their all rounder James Neesham would miss the Kanpur Test ,as he had suffered with an rib injury in the training session. Last week their quick bowler Tim Southee was ruled out from the Test series due to a ligament strain and returned to New Zealand for his treatment. Southee may return during the ODI series which will start later in October at Dharmashala.
