Some social media posts allegedly showing him smoking within the premises of Eden Gardens during the IPL 2024 match against Sunrisers Hyderabad on 23 March, Saturday. Although pictures and videos circulated suggesting SRK’s involvement inside the VIP box, the authenticity of these claims remains unverified.
Nevertheless, the viral nature of the footage prompted criticism from many users regarding his behaviour during the match. This incident bears resemblance to a prior occurrence during the Pakistan Super League (PSL) final when Imad Wasim was captured smoking a cigarette inside the dressing room. Here’s one such video:
The match concluded with Shah Rukh Khan’s team winning after nail biting encounter. An explosive half-century by Andre Rusell helped Kolkata Knight Riders edge past Sunrisers Hyderabad by 4 runs in their First Indian Premier League match at Eden Gardens on 23 March. Heinrich Klaasen’s quickfire 29-ball 63 went in vain as he took SRH close to victory but could not take his team beyond the finish line.
