Xtra Time Web Desk: Sunrisers Hyderabad posted 277/3 as the highest-ever total in the history of the Indian Premier League on 27 Mrach, Wednesday, beating Mumbai Indians by 31 runs. SRH’s innings containing 18 sixes and 19 fours, enabled them to break the 11-year-old IPL record of 263-5 by Royal Challengers Bengaluru in 2013 against Pune Warriors.

Taking to social media, RCB lauded SRH for the effort put on by their batters on a record-breaking night in Hyderabad.

SRH debutant Travis Head began the carnage, by smashing a 24-ball 62 with the help of nine fours and three sixes. Abhishek Sharma kept SRH ticking with three fours and seven sixes during his 23-ball 63. In the end, South African pair of Heinrich Klaasen (80 not out in 34 balls) and Aiden Markram, who hit 42, posted an unbeaten stand of 116 took SRH to the biggest-ever IPL total.
