How does slow over rate penalties work in IPL?

The IPL imposes strict penalties for repeated slow over rates. Hardik faces a hefty INR 24 lakh fine for a second offense, while other team members could be fined INR 6 lakhs or 25% of their match fees. A third offense incurs a ₹30 lakh fine and a one-match suspension for the captain, with the team facing a ₹12 lakh fine or 50% of their match fee. This underscores the importance for Rishabh Pant to ensure his team complies with regulations to avoid further penalties.
