Xtra Time Web Desk : Former Royal Challengers Bangalore skipper Virat Kohli’s poor run in the Indian Premier League continued as the 33 year old on Tuesday went out for a duck against Lucknow Super Giants to Dushmantha Chameera in his first ball.

The Delhi batter hasn’t been in the best of form recently, since the last two years and hasn’t been able to score big runs constantly like he used to do before.

And on Wednesday, former England skipper Kevin Pietersen opened up on his thoughts about how he sees Virat Kohli’s poor run in this season’s IPL.

In a Star Sports show, Pietersen said, “I don’t know, I actually don’t because I have never seen him struggle like this. You find out more about yourself when you are in the struggle. So he will find out more about what to do when he gets into a struggle like this again,”

“Virat Kohli needs to say ‘Cricket boots, for 6 months, I will see you later ‘. Turn off social media, go and get re-energised. When the stadiums are full again, you guarantee him a spot in that side for the next 12, 24 or 36 months,” added the former RCB batter.

In this edition of the tournament so far in last 7 matches (incl today’s match) he has scored 119 runs at an average of only 23.90. His last 7 innings scores have been, 41*, 12, 5 48, 1, 12 & 0 respectively.

Also before the ongoing match, the last time he got out for a duck was in the year of 2018.
