IPL 2021: Muralitharan undergoes angioplasty in Chennai,stent placed in his blocked artery

Xtratime Web Desk : Srilankan legendary spinner Muttiah Muralitharan who is presently in India due to his involvement in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL 2021) has undergone angioplasty in a hospital in Chennai.

Incidentally Murali is in India to carry out his role of bowling coach for Sunrisers Hyderabad. After arriving in India he complained of un easyness in his heart. He was rushed to hospital for doctors to check him thoroughly. After initial check up it was found out that Muralitharan has blockade in one of his arteries.


Doctors advised him to plant stent their in order to make the blood flow normal. That is the reason why he had to undergo angioplasty. After that a stent has been placed in one of his blocked arteries. His condition is stable now. He is under medical supervision 24*7. After his release he will join the Hyderabad team in their practice sessions.
