Subhabrata Mukherjee : In the first double header of the 14 th edition of Indian Premier League (IPL 2021) Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) played against Kolkat Knight Riders (KKR). Royal Challengers Bangalore batters were ruthless in their approach. They scored a mammoth total of 204 runs from their 20 overs which KKR players failed to chase down.





Glen Maxwell's blinder :-


Big hiiting Australian nicknamed 'the big show' is in very good batting form in this year's IPL. After scoring his first fifty in last 5 year he was at his attacking best versus Kolkata Knight Riders in Chennai. The hard hitting Australian scored 78 runs from just 49 balls. He hit 9 fours and 3 sixes in the innings. He was finally out after Harbhajan Singh took his catch of the bowling of Pat Cummins.



De Villiers blistering knock :-


South African AB Devilliers is the man of every season for Royal Challengers Bangalore. For the last decade he has single handedly carried RCB batting on his shoulder. On Sunday versus KKR he was unstoppable. He scored 76 runs from just 34 deliveries as he hit 9 fours and 3 towering sixes in his innings and remained not out.



Rahul tripathi catch to dismiss Virat :-


Virat Kohli' s wicket is very important for any opposition. In Chennai versus KKR off the bowling of Varun Chakraborty, Rahul tripathi took a blinder running backwards as Virat was dismissed for just 5 runs from 6 deliveries.


Gill ,Tripathi & Rana showed signs of fight :-


Shubhman gill started off chasing 205 runs to win in grand fashion. But he was out after scoring 21 runs from just 9 balls. Tripathi also showed some element of fight but after scoring 25 runs from 20 balls he went back to the pavillion. Rana scored quickfire 18 off just 11 balls before he was dismissed. The early signs of KKR chasing down the mammoth total started to look bleak after that.


Chahal bowled economically :-


In a pitch where teams were scoring runs freely Indian national team spinner Chahal bowled economically . Giving away just 34 runs from his 4 overs and taking two crucial wickets of Nitish Rana and Dinesh Karthik.
