Internet Desk: The Spanish Davis Cup team will be led by world no.5 Rafael Nadal against India from 16th to 18th of this month. The challenge for India to stay in the world group became tougher as they need better singles players for this tie.
Today Spain declared the full strength of their Davis Cup squad. Their team will be led by Rafael Nadal. Apart from him the team has the Olympic men’s doubles Gold winner Mark Lopez. Other two players in the Spanish squad are David Ferrer, who is world no.13 in men’s singles and Feliciano Lopez, world no18.
It was spread previously that Nadal may appear in the Davis Cup tie against India. After he bowed out from the US Open from the fourth round the rumor got nearly confirmed. Today the news arrived from the part of Spain.
“That is a fully loaded Spain team and it will be a battle for us. Hope it brings the best out of us,” said Saketh Myneni.
