Kolkata: The vision 20-20 is a new setup to bring about a change and to develop the upcoming cricketers of the state. The camp will be a development procedure which has been made by the Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB).
Out of a list of 32 players who were selected, a majority i.e. almost 75% of the players selected are upcoming cricketers like Subham Chatterjee, Akash Ghatak, Ritwik Roy Chowdhury, Kaji Junaid Saifi, Md. Irfan Ansari, Tanmay Pramanik and others.
Few older players include Pritam Chakraborty, Sayan Ghosh, Mukesh Kumar are all selected in the camp.
The camp started from July 24 and today eminent cricketing legends V.V.S. Laxman and Muthia Muralidharan joined the camp. The duo checked the fitness of the players and discussed about these things. No video analytics were held today but as per reports will be scheduled to start from tomorrow.
The mentors discussed among themselves and the main practice will start from tomorrow. The duo is of the opinion that the main aim is to bring up new talents for the Ranji Trophy. The CAB has their firm belief on the juniors as it would be perfect opportunity to test the young talents so that they could make a spot in the senior team.
