Internet Desk: Amarjit Singh the skipper of India for the FIFA U17 World Cup has reportedly claimed that the entire team has worked for the past years and they are not afraid of facing any of the tough opponents in the World Cup scheduled to start from October 6.

“Under the new Portuguese coach Luis Norton de Matos we have learnt a lot of new things. The foreign tour has also helped us to be mentally tough against tough opponents. And now we are not afraid to play against the tough opponents,” said Amarjit.

The Young Blue Tigers have been potted in Group A with the likes of USA, Colombia and Ghana for the FIFA U17 World Cup.
India will begin their campaign by facing USA on October 6, Colombia on October 9 and Ghana on October 12 at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Delhi.

“Our plan is to put the best foot forward for the upcoming tournament and play good matches. We have worked really hard and are capable of playing well. We can build good image of out team in the next few weeks during the tournament,” said the skipper.

The team will be leaving for Delhi on September 27.
