Internet Desk: FC Goa was released from most of the punishments slashed on them by ISL Regularity Commission for the unruly behavior the team showed after the final of ISL 2015. They were settled with only Rs. 6 crore fine.

Previously ISL Regularity Commission gave the verdict of three and two years’ suspension to co-owners of the club Dattaraj Salgaocar and Shrinivas Dempo respectively. The ban on the co-owners has been lifted by ISL Appeal’s Commission. Today former Chief Justice of Bombay High Court, Kshitij Vyas, the sole representative of ISL Appeals Commission, gave this verdict.

”The decision was taken basis letter of regret submitted by the owners and Elano Blumer, to the ISL Appeals Panel, terming the incidents as something that happened in the heat of the moment,” said a statement released by Football Sports Development Limited (FSDL). ISL also tweeted on this.

The biggest gain for FC Goa was the decision of retrieval of the 15 points deduction from the upcoming ISL. Otherwise the previous runner-up team would face a deep back log while starting ISL 2016 venture.

The FSDL appealed to ISL Appeals Commission for the revise of the ban imposed on them looking after the interest of their supporters and fans. The ISL Appeals Commission also kept the interest of the supporters in mind while rethinking over the ban. They also took care of the grade of football on the ground during the upcoming ISL, as is declared through tweeter of ISL.

Also their appeal for rethinking of the amount charged on them as fine of Rs. 10 crore was retrieved partially. Now they are charged with only Rs.6 crore only. This can be taken as a win of FC Goa over ISL Regulatory Commission.

Last year’s runners-up FC Goa ran into trouble after some staff of the club got into a ruckus with Chennayin FC players after the final whistle. However, the ISL Regulatory Commission imposed the bans on them was challenged by FSDL as they claimed it as perverse, unlawful and in complete violation of principles of natural justice.
