Internet Desk: Pakistan posted a huge total of 338 runs against arch-rivals India in the finals of ICC Champions Trophy 2017 at The Oval on Sunday. Fakhar Zaman (114) was the hero for his side as he scored a brilliant ton in the most important match of the tournament. He got some good backing from his fellow opener Azhar Ali who scored 59 runs before getting run-out to Jasprit Bumrah. . Earlier India had won the toss and choose to field first.

The luck was in Zaman’s favour too as he got a life line earlier in the innings from Bumrah’s bowling as he bowled a no ball when Zaman gave an easy catch to wicketkeeper MS Dhoni. Zaman capitalized on that and scored his maiden ton against the defending champions. Babar Azam (46) and Mohammad Hafeez (57*) too added valuable runs to post a big total on the board.

For India the outing during their fielding was not so good. The bowlers as well as the fielders failed to live up to the expectations. India’s ace off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin (0/70) and Ravindra Jadeja (0/67) were hammered through all parts of the ground. The pacers too failed to make any impacts as Jasprit Bumrah (0/68), Hardik Pandya (1/53) too were very expensive. Only Bhuvneshwar Kumar was the most successful bowler for his side as he took a lone wicket by giving 44 runs.
