Internet Desk: Finally Bengal earned three important points from their first pre-season practice match in Alur. The first match of Dr. K. Thimmappiah Memorial Tournament against Karnataka State Cricket Association Colts ended in a draw. Leading in the first innings Bengal earned the three important points.

Today the match between the two ended as Bengal were trailing by 192 runs at stumps. Today KSCA Colts declared their 2nd innings at 325/5. Chasing the second innings Bengal lost two wickets for 93 in 27 overs. Captain of Bengal Sudip Chatterjee could not continue the good form from the first innings today following an unfortunate early run out for 3.At stumps on day 4 Prasenjit Das and Pankaj Shaw remained not out on 49 and 16 respectively.

Today Bengal bowler Ishan Porel took two wickets. After  a five wicket haul in the 1st innings Ishan further showed good bowling. Prior to the next match of Bengal captain Manoj Tiwary will join the camp. The three points and the captain’s arrival will be a good boost for Bengal in their match against Dr. D.Y. Patil Cricket Academy.
