Barcelona to face Napoli in the ‘Maradona derby’ at the knockout stages of the Europa League

Xtra Time Web Desk : FC Barcelona got knocked out of the UEFA Champions League after their defeat against Bayern Munich in Bavaria last week. As a result of being third in their group, the Catalan giants entered the Europa League competition for the first time in 17 years.


And now the Spanish giants will have to face Napoli in the knockouts as per the draw by UEFA. The match which is named as the ‘Maradona derby’ will be played in the month of February to see both the team’s locking horns in an awaited epic encounter.


Barcelona on one hand will have it’s young players gearing up to prove themselves with a high profile manager like Xavi at the helm of the team. While Napoli on the other hand will play with a much more experienced team which is playing better football than their opponents.


The Maradona derby will surely be an intriguing affair and it would be interesting to see who comes out as the winner in this one.
