After release, Gill says he would like to play forever for the Knights

Xtra Time Web Desk: Team India youngster Shubhman Gill said given a choice he would like to play for the IPL franchisee he is in, forever.
Gill, who is currently recovering from an injury that ruled him out of the impending Proteas series. The KKR retained some of its star players Sunil Narine, Andre Russell, Venkatesh Iyer, and Varun Chakrabarthy while releasing Gill.
The 22-year-old India opener made his IPL debut in the purple jersey in 2018 and emerged as a run machine for KKR.
“The kind of bond I have with the KKR franchise is something really special to me. Once you’re associated with a franchise you would want to carry on and play with them forever… And if I would be able to play in purple and gold, I would play forever,” Gill said in a short-film titled ‘Love, Faith and Beyond’.
KKR bought the opener for 1.8 crores in IPL 2018 auction where he scored 203 runs for the team in that season.
“Once you’re associated with a franchise you would want to carry on and play with them forever… And if I would be able to play in purple and gold, I would play forever,” he further stated.
