Xtra Time Web Desk: In a bid to prepare well for his maiden tour to West Indies with the senior team, Yashasvi Jaiswal is leaving no stone unturned. The left hander was seen training on the beaches in Mumbai to improve his strength and endurance.

Yashasvi was seen taking some sprints on the sand to improve the strength of his calf muscles. In a video shared by him on his Instagram handle, Yashasvi was training under the supervision of a trainer.

Jaiswal was selected ahead of Cheteshwar Pujara for the tour to West Indies. Yashasvi’s consistent performances both in domestic cricket and IPL, earned him a place in the test side. He amassed 1845 runs for Mumbai at an average of 80.21 and in IPL 2023 he scored a career best 625 runs in 14 games.

With Pujara not in the side, Yashasvi is very likely to bat a No. 3 position for India in the test matches. The first test will be played at the Windsor Park in Dominica from July 12 while the second and final test is scheduled to take place at Queens Park Oval from July 20.
