The 19-year-old England opener of Indian origin met cricketing legend Sachin Tendulkar at his residence in Mumbai and shared the images with his Father and Sachin. Haseeb Hameed has had an impressive debut series against India. However, his impressive run was curtailed by finger injury. The right-handed Indian origin batsman’s technique, temperament, and patience impressed everyone. Even Indian batting star Virat Kohli was impressed with his lad’s batting style.  But unfortunately, he had to leave the England midway through the grueling five-match Test series. In the fourth innings of the match, Hameed failed to open with Alastair Cook due to a finger injury, but he came to bat at No. 8 and played a 59 runs innings which showed his temperament and grit. Hameed batted in pain to score an unbeaten 59 in the 2nd innings of the 3rd Test at Mohali. However, his gritty 156-ball knock could not prevent his team from losing the 3rd Test by 8 wickets. India took an unassailable 2-0 lead in the five-match rubber. He was trained by the Mumbai coach Vidyadhar Paradkar during that time. Vidyadhar revealed that he had worked on the basics of Hameed’s gameplay. Being a Mumbai kid comes with an assurance. You are bound to have an ardent inclination towards the batting of batting legend Sachin Tendulkar. Haseeb Hameed is no exception. As a young kid, he absolutely revered the legendary Indian batsman. While in Mumbai, he was supporting the English team from the sidelines. Soon after the Mumbai Test, the 19-year old sensation was lucky to have got an opportunity to meet his childhood hero. Hameed caught up with Sachin Tendulkar in Mumbai. His father accompanied him as well. He was quick to upload a picture of his fanboy moment with the master on his Instagram account. He added the caption, “Incredible getting to spend time with my childhood inspiration, the genius @sachintendulkar #TheMaster.”
