Image Source: twitter[/caption] Kolkata: Delhi Dynamos central defender Anas Edathodika is being targeted by both East Bengal and Mohun Bagan to play for them in forthcoming I League season. The central defender now joins Sony Norde and Jeje Lalpekhlua, who are also in the radar of both the Kolkata giants. The footballer from Kerala has been the target for Mohun Bagan last season. But he decided to play for Pune FC last season in I League. According to Mohun Bagan coach Sanjay Sen, “I wanted him (Anas) last season as well. We are trying for other central defenders as well.” According to club sources, North East United FC’s Brazilian central defenders Gustavo Lazzaretti and Mailson Alves are also in the radar of Mohun Bagan along with Mumbai City FC’s Gerson Vieira. The Federation Cup champions are also targeting Delhi Dynamos Central Defender Rueben Gonzalez Rocha. 27 year old Lazeratti was part of Chelsea squad in 2003-04 season. He later went to Botafogo in 2004-06 season before joining Atletico Paranaense from 2006-12. Mailson was part of the Chennaiyin FC squad during the 2015-16 ISL season. He played 12 matches for them. Another Brazilian Gerson Vieira who is plying his trade with Mumbai City FC is also under the radar of the Mariners. The former U-17 captain of Brazil joined Gremio before playing for Red Bull Brazil. Delhi Dynamos Spanish defender Rueben Gonzalez Rocha is also in Mohun Bagan’s radar. The former Real Madrid footballer went on loan to Borussia M’gladbach in 2011-13 season before trying his luck in  Real Osasuna and  Real Zaragoza. Meanwhile the club officials are also in the lookout of having a replacement for left back Dhanachandra Singh. Chennaiyin FC’s Mizo left back Jerry Lalrinzuala and Mumbai City FC’s Sena Ralte are in the radar. Bagan coach Sanjay Sen commented, “We will definitely have a replacement for Dhanachandra. The officials are in talks with a couple of Indian players now playing in ISL.” He further added, “We also have Souvik and Prabir who can both play in side back position.” Jerry was part of the AIFF Elite academy and was sent to FC Metz to train by AIFF. Ralte on the other hand played for DSK Shivajians in I League last season. Either of them will be roped in by the club, according to sources. Meanwhile, Mohun Bagan coach Sanjay Sen is planning to start training from November 12.
