Mourinho was sent to the stands at half-time by referee Mark Clattenburg, and the British media claim that United are fearing he will face further punishment. In recent games United haven’t been faring well with their manager on the sidelines, and their fortunes didn’t change without him yesterday. Mourinho’s side had an incredible 37 attempts at the Burnley goal, none of which found the back of the net. Burnley have goalkeeper Tom Heaton to thank for that, but United’s lack of efficiency will undoubtedly be a worry for The Special One. If United’s fears become reality, he may not be able to have a direct influence from the touchline. If Mourinho does receive further punishment from the FA, he will certainly need a better performance from his side than he saw at Old Trafford on Saturday.
