File Pic[/caption] Kolkata: Lodha Committee had sent a directive to the BCCI on Wednesday to put all the state body polls on hold along with any other elections. With this directive, the drama over CAB election has also come to an end. CAB officials had already decided on Tuesday that the election will be postponed to implement the Lodha Committee recommendations. The official announcement of the deferral of CAB poll will be officially announced Thursday. With this deferral, finally the dream of Biswarup Dey to contest against current CAB President Sourav Ganguly's panel has come to an end.  As long as the BCCI and other state committees are not implementing the recommendation of Lodha Committee they cannot conduct any kind of election, the committee declared today. CAB officials called for a special meeting tomorrow to discuss over the situation rose following the verdict of Supreme Court. On the other hand BCCI also called a meeting to discuss the legal points of the issue rose after the verdict of Monday. It will be conducted at Cricket Centre of Mumbai on 25th July. In the meeting lawyers of BCCI will be present along with state committee members. CAB President Sourav Ganguly will be present physically during the meeting on Monday and will be representing Bengal. Besides CAB elections, other state bodies election like Karnataka (KSCA) and Madhya Pradesh (MPCA) will also be postponed. Apart from these bodies, Jammu and Kashnir Cricket Association poll which was conducted on Tuesday becomes invalid with this directive from Lodha panel. State Minister Imran Raza Ansari who was elected as the President of JKCA has to withdraw his post now. The letter clearly states that all elections in BCCI and state associations should be "kept on hold". The letter sent to BCCI officials and office bearers clearly declared, "The Committee is in the process of preparing an action plan along with timelines as directed by the Honorable Supreme Court to implement the reforms and supervise the transition as swiftly as possible. Until further intimations in this regard, it is directed that the BCCI and the State Associations keep on hold all elections and electoral processes under the Rules existing as on 18.7.2016”.
