Turbunator’s prediction proved wrong by Steve Smith’s team

Untitled12 Internet Desk: There is always a love and hate relationship between Harbhajan Singh and Australia. The turbunator in a recent interview had predicted a 4-0 drubbing for Steve Smith and his team. The former India off-spinner went a step further and labelled Steve Smith’s side as the worst team from Down Under to ever set foot on Indian soil. Harbhajan last week echoed his former India captain Sourav Ganguly by forecasting a decisive series win for the hosts in the four-Test series. Moments after Steve Smith and his team pulled up a brilliant 333 runs win at Pune, Cricket Australia did not waste any time to tweet with a smiley. The visitors pulled off an incredible win, outplaying the hosts in all departments. The tailor-made wicket at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium seemed to have back-fired the star-studded Indian batting line-up as they were bamboozled by the spin of left arm spinner Steven O’Keefe and Nathan Lyon. The former returned with a match winning haul of 12 wickets. Harbhajan’s success against Australia came in 2001, when the man dubbed ‘The Turbanator’ devastated Steve Waugh’s side with 32 wickets in a thrilling three-Test series. After comprehensively winning the first Test on that tour, Australia famously lost the second match after enforcing the follow-on as Rahul Dravid and VVS Laxman combined for a 376-run stand to turn the match, and the series, on its head.
