File Pic.[/caption] Internet Desk: India had a mixed day at US Open on Saturday as Leander Paes went away losing in mixed doubles along with Martina Hingis. However, Sania Mirza and Rohan Bopanna advanced in respective doubles. After a first round win it was a struggling defeat for the veteran pair of Leander and Hingis. The pair led 8-4 in the match tiebreaker but lost 7-6 (1), 3-6, 13-11 to American duo CoCo Vandeweghe and Rajeev Ram. This made the end of this US Open for Leander as he lost his doubles match on the previous day. On the other hand Rohan Bopanna along with his Canadian partner Gabriela Dardwoski, reached the pre-quarterfinal of mixed doubles. However, they had a struggling entry. They beat Lukasz Kubot and Andrea Hlavackova by 5-7, 6-3, 10-7. Apart from him pair of Sania Mirza and Barbora Strycova also entered the round of 16. Sania looked confident as of previous matches to win it against Viktorija Golubic and Nicole Melichar by 6-2 7-6(5). However, there was no shock at the US Open for the top seeds as all of them advanced easily to the pre-quarterfinal. Djokovic took only 32minutes to reach the pre-quarterfinal as his opponent Youzhny gaev an walk over. He took another day of rest to recover and get ready for the final target. his second round opponent also gave walk over. Nadal continue his good show by winning against A Kuznetsov easily by 6-1 6-4 6-2. Murray however, struggled to reach the round of 16. He won against Paolo Lorenzi by 7-6 (7-4) 5-7 6-2 6-3. The Williams won both to reach the round of 16. Serena beat J Larsson by 6-2 6-1. Venus defeated L Siegemund by 6-1 6-2.
