They lost the Bronze Medal match today. It was known previously that today it will be a tough match for the Indian mixed doubles pair. Raden Stepanek and Lucie Hradecka of Sania and Rohan won't spare them an inch. Finally they won it by 2-0 straight set. Today the Sania and Bopanna started the game with lots of faults. A bad game gave them an early lose in the first set. The set was completed only within 27 mins. In the second set the Indian pair gave a little fight to the Czeck pair. File Pic[/caption] Meanwhile, in men's Hockey,  India’s inspiring run at the Rio 2016 Olympics was ended by Belgium in the quarter-finals after they lost the match 3-1 on Sunday to crash out of the tournament. Belgium march into the semi-final of the hockey competition while India head home. India was a match of two halves as India had their chances in the first half while Belgium dominated the possession. The second half clearly belonged to Belgium as they created regular chances and scored on three occasions. India were the first to score when Akashdeep Singh deflected a brilliant pass from Manpreet Singh from outside the circle in the first quarter. Belgium did have their chances but the Indian defence was up to the task to deny them. File Pic[/caption] On the other hand, Former Commonwealth Games gold-medalist Manoj Kumar (64kg) put up a spirited show but could not match the power of fifth seed Fazliddin Gaibnazarov in his pre-quarterfinal bout to bow out of the Olympic Games. The 29-year-old Indian went down 3-0 in the contest which was not particularly engaging in its quality of boxing but showcased Manoj’s fighting spirit. The 25-year-old Gaibnazarov, the World and Asian Championships silver-medallist from Uzbekistan, was consistently better than Manoj but the Indian impressed with his never-say-die spirit.
