The stylish batsman from Delhi scored a fluent 56 balls 80 to help KKR win against SRH by 10 runs. The Knight Riders posted a daunting 187/6 with useful contributions from Rahul Tripathi (52 off 29) and Dinesh Karthik (22 off 9 balls). Rana’s knock was decorated with 9 fours and 4 sixes. In reply David Warner led SRH fell short by 10 runs.

Post match Nitish Rana explained his weird celebration to senior teammate Harbhajan Singh. He said he dedicated the celebration for his friends. In a video posted by Indian Premier League’s official twitter handle, both Rana and Harbhajan were seen singing the popular Punjabi song, 'Brown Munde', to entertain their fans and the video was shared by IPL's official Twitter handle. It has already garnered over 1,600 likes.

"It was for my friends. My friends love the song Brown Munde and before the season began I told them when I do this (celebration), it will mean that we all are brown munde," said Rana to Harbhajan.
