XtraTime Web Desk - Defending champions Mumbai Indians to Royal Challengers Bangalore in the very first match of IPL in 2021. The match is scheduled to take place in Chennai as BCCI has decided to conduct the IPL matches in a neutral venue.

Even though the IPL will be hosted in Mumbai, Kolkata, Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi, the teams will not play any home matches. Along with this cities, Ahmedabad will also host 8 matches and so will Delhi. Rest four cities will be hosting 10 matches each. The Narendra Modi Stadium will be hosting the final of IPL 14.

BCCI has announced that there will be 11 double headers in the upcoming IPL. The evening matches will start from 7:30 pm while the afternoon matches will start from 3:30 in the afternoon.

Kolkata Knight Riders will play their first match against Sunrisers Hyderabad on 11th April while Eden Gardens will host its first match on 9th May when Royal Challengers Bangalore will take on Sunrisers Hyderabad.
