XtraTime Web Desk: The 20 year old Devdutt Padikkal has brought a change in the RCB camp. After RCB let Gayle leave, they were missing a good opener at the top of the innings. It gave Virat Kohli bat at his preferred position of number 3. Its important to mention that Devdutt is in tremendous form. Playing with so many legendary cricketers like Virat Kohli, AB de Villiers, Aaron Finch, Dale Steyn and others, the young cricketer is in good hands. Speaking about playing with the legendary cricketers, Devdutt said, “It's great experience to be among such talented cricketers. They played so much cricket and they have so much experience and I'm trying to learn as much as I can in the time that I've”.

Padikkal also said about that one thing that he learned from the senior players and is applying in his game. “It's just to keep things simple and just believe in yourself. No matter what the situation is and that's something that I've always learn from them and that's something they have always done in any situation. So, that's something that I really picked up”

Playing his first IPL, Padikkal was asked whether he's been surprised by anything. To which he said, “Not really. I've really enjoyed myself so far. I just hope I can keep continuing like this and keep contributing to the side.”

Royal Challengers Bangalore is all set to face Rajasthan Royals in the first of the two clashes on Saturday. Things might be tough in the middle for Devdutt as he will be facing Jofra Archer today. Now, Jofra is someone who can bowl at 150kmh without any hesitation but Devdutt isn't concerned. “Not really, because even in the last games there were some quick bowlers and in the Mumbai Indians side as well. So it's just about looking at the ball and watching the ball as I can and reacting to it.”

To end the conversation, Devdutt said that he indeed is enjoying IPL this year. He said, “Yeah definitely. A lot of fun.”
