Kolkata: There was a proposed meeting of Asian Cricket Council set to happened in Dubai on March 2 and 3. BCCI President Sourav Ganguly was supposed to attend that meeting and as per scheduled he would have left Kolkata on Sunday but to the fear of coronavirus the meeting got cancelled and Sourav isn't going to Dubai. Earlier The BCCI President revealed that the upcoming Asia Cup will be played in Dubai so that both arch rivals India and Pakistan can take part in it. This year's Asia Cup will take place in September and Pakistan is the host country of the tournament this time but BCCI earlier made it clear that Indian cricket team won't travel to Pakistan and that's why the venue has been shifted to Dubai. International Cricket Counsil's (ICC) Executive Committee meeting is set to happen in April and ahead of that there is a possibility of an Asian Cricket Council meeting. Beside that as per sources the meeting may happen in Sourav Ganguly's hometown Kolkata. On being asked about the matter, Sourav said,"I was scheduled to go to Dubai but due to the fear of coronavirus the meeting got cancelled. Let's see what happens next." On the other hand Sourav came to Eden Gardens to see the Ranji Trophy semifinal between Bengal & Karnataka. He reached at the ground just when KL Rahul got out. He was there at the ground for almost two hours. The former India skipper still thinks that a lot of dramas are still left in the game despite of the good bowling by Bengal bowlers."Though the Bengal bowlers have bowled brilliantly but the result is still far away," added Ganguly.
