Dhoni, who started as a wicket-keeper batsman before going on to become the most successful captain for India. The former India captain is now seen in the role of an assistant coach or a mentor to the young Indian players in the team.  He has been seen in this role ever since the Indian team arrived in England for the Champions Trophy. Dhoni was seen giving bowling tips to Ravindra Jadeja at the nets. Both of them had a long session at the nets today with the left arm spinner. He tried to sort out some issues with Jadeja’s bowling as he was having some concerns with his follow through. He gave throw downs to the batsmen at one of the nets, something similar to the role which former India coach and South African Gary Kirsten played. Dhoni has been spotted having long discussions with India Coach Anil Kumble. The two together is taking the onus of senior members, guiding the youngsters in the team to do well.
