The Blues defeated last years champion Johor Darul Ta’zim by a 3-1 margin at the Kanteerava Stadium to book a place in the final. Captain Sunil Chhetri scored a brace while Juan Antonio Gonzalez Fernandez scored the other goal for the Blues. Safiq reduced the margin for the Malaysian side. Alberto Roca’s side will now take on Al-Qawa Al-Jawiya of Iraq in the final at Doha on November 05.
