The cricket heroes were greeted by a large group of enthusiastic fans at the airport. Captain Rohit Sharma walked out of the airport proudly holding the T20 World Cup trophy, while star player Virat Kohli waved to the crowd, acknowledging their unwavering support. The excitement continued at the team hotel where Sharma, alongside Suryakumar Yadav and Rishabh Pant, delighted fans with an impromptu dance.

In a celebratory gesture, Prime Minister Narendra Modi invited the victorious team and the support staff, led by coach Rahul Dravid, to his residence for a special breakfast. PM Modi, one of the first to congratulate the team on their victory against South Africa at the Kensington Oval in Barbados, was keen to hear about the players' experiences and the memorable moments of their World Cup campaign.

The journey back home was not without its challenges. The team was stranded in Barbados for four days due to the airport's closure, courtesy of Hurricane Beryl. However, a special chartered flight ensured their safe return to India. Fans, who had been waiting in long queues since late last night, were overjoyed to see their cricketing idols return with the coveted trophy.
