Xtra Time Web Desk: Rinku Singh, the left-handed batsman from Uttar Pradesh, has earned the opportunity to be part of the Indian men's cricket team for the upcoming Asian Games. The towering batsman made waves in the recent Indian Premier League (IPL) and has been rewarded with a place in the national team.

During the IPL, Rinku had received special guidance from Mahendra Singh Dhoni, which he credits for his improvement as a cricketer. In an interview with Revsportz, Rinku mentioned, "The discussions with Mahi bhai have been very helpful. He has been batting in a similar order like me, sometimes at 5 and sometimes at 6. And throughout his career, he has excelled in this position, so he knows a lot about it."

"I ask him very straightforwardly how I can enhance my game, and his advice has been very straightforward as well. He told me, 'You are batting really well. Keep doing what you are doing.'"

In the previous edition of the IPL, representing the Kolkata Knight Riders, Rinku Singh scored 474 runs in 14 matches at an average of 59.25 and a strike rate of 149.53.
