RCB Players and Director give COVID-19 Message on Instagram
Xtra Time Web Desk: Besides having got off to a cracking start in the IPL, winning all of their games thus far, the Royal Challengers Bangalore have now taken an initiative to do good off the pitch as well. They released a new reel on their Instagram profile, titled- "Stay Home. Stay Safe."
As India is battling with the resurgence of COVID, some of the RCB players and Director of Cricketing Operations, Mike Hesson, put out a message to spread awareness of what should and should not be done in this situation. The video, which features Virat Kohli, AB de Villiers, Glenn Maxwell, the aforementioned Mike Hesson and Yuzvendra Chahal, speaks about washing hands, sanitizing, following COVID safety procedures, social distancing, and not sharing unverified information regarding available resources.
This initiative to spread awareness and use their platform and reach on social media and in general to spread a message of this sort is something that should be commended, especially in these trying times. India currently faces a tumultuous situation, with COVID cases rising daily, and we request you to stay home, stay safe and maintain safety norms, just as the video does.
