Railways were bowled out for 105 runs in 27.3 overs. Dinda’s spell read as 14-4-45-5. Bengal at lunch were 46/1 after 18 overs. They lead by 146 runs. It was Dinda again who gave Bengal an early breakthrough on Day 2. The medium pacer had Anureet Singh leg before for 4 runs. Railways could add only 2 runs to their overnight score of 37/4. Amit Kuila bowled an inspiring spell in the morning. The lanky pacer got rewarded as he picked Railways opener Shivakant Shukla for 14 runs. Dinda struck again for Bengal as he got the dangerous Mahesh Rawat caught by Sudip Chatterjee for 9 runs. Railways were struggling at 53/7 and faced the humiliation of getting bowled under 100 runs. Right arm medium pacer Sayan Ghosh coming in as a change struck immediately. He bowled Amit Mishra for 7 runs. Dinda, who bowled unchanged, got rid of Deepak Bansal bowled for a duck. Last wicket to fall for Railways was Karn Sharma who scored an attacking 40 runs. His 26 ball innings included 5 fours and two sixes. Railways eventually were bowled out for 105 runs, giving Bengal a lead of exactly 100 runs. Bengal openers Abhimanyu Easwaran and Sayan Sekhar Mandal started the second innings cautiously. Young Abhimanyu looked good to score a big innings until he played a lose stroke outside off stump to be caught behind by Mahesh Rawat of the bowling of Karan Thakur. Easwaran scored 25 runs and struck 6 fours.
