Xtra Time Web Desk: The Indian cricket team has arrived in Barbados in preparation for their first Super 8s match against Afghanistan on Thursday, 20 June. Following the cancellation of their last group-stage match against Canada due to weather, the team took the opportunity to relax and enjoy some leisure time. A video posted by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on social media showed players like Virat Kohli, Rinku Singh, and Arshdeep Singh playing beach volleyball on the beautiful beaches of Barbados.

India advanced to the Super 8 stages from Group A alongside the United States of America. They secured victories against Ireland, Pakistan, and the USA, with their match against Canada being washed out. The match in Barbados will mark India's first game in the Caribbean during this tournament.

Jasprit Bumrah has been a standout performer for India, delivering exceptional bowling performances. Axar Patel has contributed effectively with both bat and ball, while Arshdeep Singh has impressed with his skillful handling of both the new and old ball. Despite these strong individual performances, India's batting lineup has struggled, likely due to the challenging pitch conditions they faced in New York.

India will begin their campaign on June 20, against Afghanistan at Barbados. Then they head to Antigua to face Bangladesh, two days later before ending the Super 8 stage with a mouthwatering clash against Australia at St Lucia on June 24. All of India's matches will start at 8 PM IST.

24 June: vs Australia, Gros Islet, St Lucia (8 PM IST)
