Xtra Time Web Desk:The Indian cricket team received a grand welcome at ITC Maurya Hotel in Chanakyapuri, Delhi, after returning from Barbados on a special chartered flight arranged BCCI. The team landed earlier on Thursday, 4th July morning around 6:00 AM and headed straight to the hotel, where a warm reception awaited them.

Upon arrival, Rohit Sharma, Suryakumar Yadav, Hardik Pandya, and Yashasvi Jaiswal were seen grooved to bhangra. The team then enjoyed an exquisite breakfast spread, crafted especially for the occasion.

A special cake, designed in the colours of the Indian cricket team's jersey and featuring an intricate chocolate trophy, was a highlight of the welcome. "The cake is in the colour of the team's jersey. Its highlight is this trophy, it may look like an actual trophy, but this is made out of chocolate. This is our welcome to the winning team," said the executive chef at ITC Maurya to news agency ANI.

The breakfast menu blended indulgence with health, emphasizing sustainability. "ITC Maurya believes in sustainability, so the breakfast has options made with millets. There is healthy food as well as a bit of indulgence," the chef added.

Highlights of Team India's Breakfast at ITC Maurya:

- A three-tier cake cut by skipper Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and head coach Rahul Dravid.
- Custom snacks including pistachio naan khatai, cinnamon sugar palmier, and charoli and paprika cheese twists.
- Sundried tomatoes and amaranth pinwheels.
- Hand-rolled chocolate truffle rolls and edible chocolate cricket-themed treats in the players' rooms.
- A buffet featuring locally-sourced seasonal fruits like mangoes, jamun, and cherries.

Personalized dishes were also prepared for the stars, with Rohit Sharma enjoying a Mumbai-style Vada Pav and Virat Kohli relishing Amritsari-style Chhole Bhature. The team then proceeded to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi, marking a celebratory return for the victorious squad.
