Xtra Time Web Desk: Arjun Tendulkar, son of cricketing legend Sachin Tendulkar, continues to face challenges in the ongoing Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. The left-arm pacer was once again left out of the Goa team for their match against Maharashtra on Tuesday after missing the previous game against Kerala. His exclusion follows a string of lackluster performances in the tournament, where Goa has failed to secure a win in four matches.

Arjun’s campaign started on a rough note as he conceded 48 runs in his 4-over spell against Mumbai and managed only 9 runs with the bat in a heavy defeat. Although he showed improvement in his second match, giving away just 19 runs in three overs, he failed to take any wickets. Against Andhra, his struggles continued as he conceded 36 runs in 3.4 overs without picking up a wicket.

Goa currently sits at sixth place in the Group E points table, with no victories in their four matches so far. Arjun, who was bought by Mumbai Indians for ₹30 lakh in the IPL 2025 auction, will be eager to regain form and justify the faith placed in him by the franchise.

Meanwhile, Mumbai Indians captain Hardik Pandya expressed satisfaction with the team's acquisitions in the IPL 2025 auction held in Jeddah. Speaking in a video shared by the franchise, Pandya highlighted their strategy of balancing youth with experience.

"We have found the right mix... players like Boulty (Trent Boult), Deepak Chahar, and young talents like Will Jacks," Pandya said, emphasizing the importance of a clear vision during the auction process. Despite the emotional highs and lows of bidding, Pandya stated that Mumbai Indians had managed to cover all bases, setting the stage for an exciting season.
