Xtra Time Web Desk: Double Olympic medallist PV Sindhu is set to marry Hyderabad-based executive director Venkata Datta Sai on December 22 in Udaipur. The celebrations will kick off on December 20, with a grand reception planned in Hyderabad on December 24.  

The announcement came shortly after Sindhu clinched the Syed Modi International title in Lucknow. Speaking about the wedding plans, Sindhu’s father, PV Ramana, shared that the families had known each other for some time, but the marriage was finalized just a month ago.

Venkata Datta Sai's career began with enriching stints at JSW, where he worked both as a summer intern and as an in-house consultant. He also managed JSW's owned Delhi Capitals during his tenure. Later he joined an executive director at Posidex Technologies, a firm led by his father, GT Venkateshwar Rao, who previously served in the Indian Revenue Service (IRS). His Sai holds a Diploma in Liberal Arts and Sciences from the Foundation of Liberal and Management Education and a BBA in Accounting and Finance from Flame University. He later earned a Master’s degree in Data Science and Machine Learning from IIIT-Bangalore. Sai's professional career also includes stints at Sour Apple Asset Management before joining Posidex in 2019.

"The two families knew each other but it was only a month ago that everything was finalised. This was the only possible window as her schedule will be hectic from January," Sindhu's father, PV Ramana. "So that is the reason the two families decided to have the marriage ceremony on December 22. The reception will be held in Hyderabad on December 24. She will start her training soon after as the next season is going to be important," he further added.

As. Sindhu is expected to resume training soon after the celebrations, with an important season ahead, the wedding promises to be a grand affair, marking a joyous milestone in Sindhu’s illustrious career and personal life.
