Xtra Time Web Desk: India's great Virender Sehwag congratulated his son Aaryavir Sehwag for scoring a classic 297 for Delhi in Cooch Behar Trophy, a national four-day tournament for Under-19 cricketers. 

With 51 boundaries and three sixes, Aaryavir scored at a strike rate over 90 on Thursday, November 21 while playing for Delhi against Meghalaya at the MCA Stadium in Shillong, bringing back his father Virender Sehwag's memory. His playing is just like his father's, explosive!

Virendra Sehwag congratulated his son reminding the Ferrari promise. He wrote on X, "Well played @aaryavirsehwag. Missed a Ferrari by 23 runs. But well done, keep the fire alive and may you score many more daddy hundreds and doubles and triples. Khel jato (Play on)." 

Sehwag was the first Indian batter to score a triple century in Test cricket when he smashed 309 against Pakistan in Multan in 2004. After four years, he broke his own record, scoring 319 against South Africa in Chennai. Here Aaryavir missed the chance to repeat his father's record as he was 4 runs away to score a 300 when dismissed by RS Rathor in the 107th over after which Delhi declared their innings at 623 for 5 declared.

Right now, Delhi is in the driving position in the game as they have already bowled out Meghalaya for 260.
