During the interaction, PM Albanese lauded the team's achievements and shared a lighthearted moment with star players Virat Kohli and Jasprit Bumrah.

Rohit Sharma, India’s captain, introduced the players to the Australian leader. Praising Jasprit Bumrah, PM Albanese remarked on his "unique bowling action" and the impact it has had on cricket. Turning to Virat Kohli, he congratulated the batter for his century in the Perth Test, adding humorously, "Good time in Perth, as if we weren't suffering enough at that point." Kohli, smiling, replied, "Always gotta add some spice to it," prompting laughter and a playful nod to India's love for spice.

The team arrived in Canberra on Wednesday ahead of a two-day pink-ball practice match against the Prime Minister's XI at Manuka Oval. The match, scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, serves as preparation for the day-night Test in Adelaide, starting on 6 December.
