Xtra Time Web Desk: India vice-captain Shubman Gill has confirmed that Virat Kohli will be back in the lineup for the 2nd ODI in Cuttack. Virat missed the first ODI against England in Nagpur due to a right knee injury.

Virat suffered a right knee injury that led to a delay in his comeback into the internationals hence Yashasvi Jaiswal came into the side in Kohli's place with Gill playing as No. 3 in the batting order.

Speaking to the broadcaster after taking a lead against England in the series, Gill reflected that Kohli had some swelling in his knee in the morning and he was fine until practice on the eve of the match.

He stated, "When he woke up in the morning, he had some swelling in his knee. He was fine till yesterday's practice session. There's nothing to worry. He will definitely be fit for the next game."

"I think I play at number three in Test matches, so it wasn’t a huge adjustment. But, definitely, the situation is slightly different. If you are batting at number three and early wickets fall, you have to play according to the situation. However, if the openers have built a good partnership, then you have to carry that momentum forward. That was my thought process—to bat according to the situation and the over in which I had to come in," said Gill.

India and England will be back in action on Sunday, February 9.
