Xtra Time Web Desk: On Day 2 of the first Test between India and Bangladesh in Chennai, Jasprit Bumrah reached a remarkable career milestone, becoming only the 10th Indian bowler and the sixth pacer to claim 400 wickets across all formats in international cricket. Bangladesh's Hasan Mahmud became Bumrah's 400th victim, further solidifying his status among India's elite bowlers.

Bumrah, 30, showcased his mastery on home soil, picking up three crucial wickets in the first two sessions. His first breakthrough came early as he dismissed Bangladesh opener Shadman Islam, shattering his off-stump. In the second session, Bumrah added Mushfiqur Rahim and Hasan Mahmud to his tally, completing his 400-wicket milestone in just his 227th international innings.

Bumrah's international wicket haul now stands at 162 in Tests, 149 in ODIs, and 89 in T20Is. He joins a distinguished group of Indian fast bowlers that includes legends like Kapil Dev, Zaheer Khan, Ishant Sharma, and Mohammed Shami.
