Xtra Time Web Desk: India captain Rohit Sharma has claimed that his side will not be taking the Bangladesh series as a dress rehersal for the upcoming Border Gavaskar during the press conference in Chennai on September 17, Tuesday. The 2-Test series against Bangladesh will start a 10 match stretch for India that will culminate with the Border Gavaskar Trophy down under. After the Bangladesh Tests, India will take on New Zealand at home.
 
Speaking to the reporters on Tuesday, Rohit said that each game is important for the team and they want to win the series against Bangladesh. The India captain also that they aren't looking too ahead to the BGT in November at the moment and are aiming to start the season on a high.

"No dress rehearsal, Every game is important. Doesn’t matter where we play. We want to win, want to win this Test and the series. Not looking too far ahead. It’s nice to have everyone back and start the season on a high," said Rohit.
 
India would have a camp in Chennai, a week ahead of the first Test which begins on September 19. All the big stars, including Rohit and Virat Kohli were involved in the camp from day one and the India captain felt it was important to have the camp.

Rohit felt it was important for the training to start early as some of them weren't involved in the Duleep trophy. The India captain feels that the team is quite ready for the Chennai Test and it was crucial for them to utilise the camp in Chennai pretty well.
 
"We had a break. Important to have a camp. We had good time spending time on the field, getting this back together. It’s tough. Guys who didn’t play a lot played Duleep Trophy. We are quite ready for this game and what lies ahead. It was important to utilise this little camp in Chennai pretty well," said Rohit.
 
The second Test between India and Bangladesh will be in Kanpur and begin on September 27.
