Xtra Time Web Desk: Mohammad Shami's comeback in internationals has been one of the most anticipated event in cricket world. 

The India pacer surprisingly missed not just the series opener in Kolkata but also the 2nd game in Chennai that introduced many questions such as Has he not fully recovered? Does he not fit in the scheme of things? The Answer is NO. Shami is fully fine and ready to go but his missing out matches is something else.

Shami has put his best efforts to meet match fitness but the team management has long term plans for him as they don't want Shami to break down, or summer the same fate as Bumrah. However it is understood that Shami will be seen for limited purpose in T20 but once ODI starts, Shami will be back in full swing as expected.

A very recent report states, "Shami has shed 2 kgs from what he gained before his injury. He is bowling at full tilt. He is not needed as much in the T20 matches. But he should be good to go once the ODIs come around."

Based on this, it is safe to say that Shami is out of the third T20I against Rajkot too. With India winning both their matches in Kolkata and Chennai, Coach Gautam Gambhir and Captain Suryakumar Yadav don't look to disturb the playing combination. 

As the fans are expecting him to be back in action, it will be interesting to see what stuffs unfold next and how team management plans keeping upcoming major events in mind.
