Xtra Time Web Desk: Team India, fresh off their second T20 World Cup victory, landed in the national capital early Thursday, 4th July morning and headed straight to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's residence for a special breakfast. The team, adorned in special 'Champion' jerseys, received a warm welcome from the Prime Minister at Lok Kalyan Marg. BCCI released a video showcasing the interaction between the PM and the players. Although the video lacked audio, the Indian Express provided insight into the conversations that took place during the event.
Prime Minister Modi initiated the interaction by addressing India’s captain, Rohit Sharma, about his viral celebration video where he consumed a small piece of Barbados soil after their victory over South Africa. The PM humorously inquired about the taste of the soil, highlighting Sharma’s unique way of commemorating the win. He asked Sharma how the mud tastes like after the skipper was seen putting a piece of the turf in his mouth after the victory.
